Jackson Square Aviation (JSA), a full-service commercial aircraft lessor based in San Francisco, is pleased to announce the delivery of one Boeing 737-800 aircraft from its existing fleet on lease to Aeromexico, Mexico’s global airline.
Alfredo Sarria, Senior Vice President of Marketing, commented: “JSA is pleased to have completed the second Boeing 737-800 delivery this year to Aeromexico following the June 2nd delivery. The Boeing 737-800 aircraft provides flexibility the airline needs to respond to Mexico’s growth market by providing rapid incorporation times and seamless fleet integration. Mexico continues to show strong passenger demand from which Aeromexico can benefit by adding homogenous narrowbody capacity.”
Aeromexico operates more than 600 daily flights and its main hub is in Terminal 2 at the Mexico City International Airport. Its destinations network features more than 80 cities on three continents, including 45 destinations in Mexico, 17 in the United States, 15 in Latin America, four in Europe, three in Canada and two in Asia.
The airline’s fleet of about 130 aircraft is comprised of Boeing 787, 777 and 737 jet airliners and next generation Embraer 145, 170, 175 and 190 models. In 2012, the airline announced the most significant investment strategy in aviation history in Mexico, to purchase 100 Boeing aircraft including 90 MAX B737 jet airliners and 10 B787-9 Dreamliners.
