Jackson Square Aviation (‘JSA’) announced today that Mr. Yasuyuki Kusakari will become the next Chairman of the aircraft leasing company, effective April 1, 2024.

Mr. Kusakari succeeds Mr. Osamu Muramoto, Managing Executive Officer and Head of Aviation Business Division of Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc., who has been Chairman of JSA since June 1, 2019 and will now take on a new challenge within Mitsubishi HC Capital’s Global Business Unit.

Mr. Kusakari has been a critical member of Mitsubishi HC Capital’s Aviation Business Division and International Credit Division since May 2020. Mr. Kusakari has an excellent knowledge of JSA’s business and has developed relationships with the JSA team members, customers and suppliers over the last several years. A smooth transition is anticipated.

Commenting on his new appointment, Mr. Kusakari said “It is with great pleasure that I become Jackson Square Aviation’s new Chairman, and I am excited to commence work with the company’s strong leadership team”. He added, “I appreciate the trust that has been placed on me to succeed Mr. Muramoto and I look forward to helping further strengthen the company’s market position as a global leader in aircraft leasing.”

On the prospect of Mr. Muramoto ceasing his position as Chairman, he commented, “I am proud to have been Jackson Square Aviation’s Chairman for the past four years and grateful to have been a part of the team as we navigated through the Covid-19 pandemic together, which presented soon after my appointment.” He added, “I have greatly enjoyed my career at Jackson Square Aviation, and I am confident of the company’s continued success and financial stability over the coming years ahead.”
